Music On Hold
Overview
Music on Hold allows administrators to upload and assign custom audio tracks to play for callers while they are waiting in a Queue. If no custom hold music has been uploaded, Sharpen will use its default hold music automatically.
This section is specifically for Music on Hold. To manage greetings and announcements, refer to our Sound Files article.
Uploading New Hold Music
Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Music on Hold and click the New Music on Hold button.
Enter a name for the hold music to help identify it later.
Click the Upload button and select your audio file. The file must be in .mp3 format.
Use an MP3 file with a simple file name. Avoid special characters and symbols in the file name to prevent upload issues.
Applying Hold Music
Once your hold music has been uploaded, it can be assigned to the following:
Sharpen Queues
Auto Attendants
Users
Navigate to the relevant configuration area and select your uploaded track from the Music on Hold options.
