Clearing Your Cache

Clearing Your Cache

Overview

Your browser may occasionally cache an older version of the Sharpen application, which can cause display issues or unexpected behavior. Clearing your cache forces the browser to load the latest version of the application and resolves most issues related to stale content.

Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Sharpen. If you are experiencing issues in another browser, switching to Chrome is the first step to try before clearing your cache.

Google Chrome

Option 1 — Hard Reload (fastest)

  1. Open Chrome and navigate to the Sharpen application.

  2. Right-click anywhere in the browser window and select Inspect.

  3. With the inspector open, right-click the Refresh button in the browser address bar.

  4. Select Empty Cache and Hard Reload.

Option 2 — Clear Browsing Data

  1. Click the Chrome menu (three dots, top right) and select More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.

  1. Set the time range to All time.

  2. Check Cached images and files (you may also check Cookies and other site data if issues persist).

  3. Click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (top right) and select Settings.

  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel from the left sidebar.

  3. Scroll to the Cookies and Site Data section and click Clear Data.

  4. Uncheck Cookies and Site Data, leaving only Cached Web Content checked.

  5. Click Clear.
