Clearing Your Cache

Why do I need to clear my cache?
Sometimes your browser may cache an older version of the Sharpen application. This can cause issues with display as well as functionality. Clearing your cache ensures that you are using the newest version of the application available.

How do I clear my cache?
How you clear your cache depends on your browser. Instructions for our supported browsers are listed below:

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome

  2. Right click in the browser window and choose 'Inspect'

  3. Once the inspector is loaded, identify the refresh button on the browser address bar

  4. Right-click the refresh button and choose 'Empty cache and hard reload'

OR

  1. Navigate to the Chrome menu button and Select ‘More Tools>Clear Browsing Data…’

  2. Select the following, and choose ‘Clear data’

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button 

    and choose Preferences.

  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.

  3. In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data….

4. Remove the check mark in front of Cookies and Site Data.

5. With Cached Web Content check marked, click the Clear button.

6. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Sharpen Connect+ Desktop app

  1. Exit Sharpen Connect + application fully

  2. If on a Windows machine navigate to C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Sharpen Connect+\Cache in Windows explorer.

    1. Replace with the logged in user

  3. If on a Mac, navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Sharpen Connect+/Cache in finder

    1. Replace with the logged in user

  4. Delete the contents of the directory

  5. Launch the Sharpen Connect+ application.
