Making and Receiving Calls in Sharpen Connect

Making a call:

  1. Enter the number you want to dial in the appropriate text box.

2. Press Enter or click the green Call button.

3. Once the call has started, the call management buttons will appear.

  • Hang Up - The Hang Up button will end the call.

  • Call Type - Allows you to select from one of the designated Call Types set up on your account.

  • End Result - Allows you to select from one of the designated End Results set up on your account

  • Call Notes - Allows you to take notes on the call to be recorded in the system.

  • Hold - The Hold button will place the caller on Hold. Press Resume to return to the call.

  • Transfer - The Transfer button will allow you to transfer the call to another extension, or even an external number. Enter the desired extension or number, and press the green Transfer button to complete the transfer. Press the X to cancel the transfer and return to the caller.

  • DTMF Codes - DTMF Codes allow you to select options on Auto Attendants and enter values into automated systems. You can either enter the codes directly with your keyboard in the DTMF Codes text box, or click the Blue Grid to bring up the keypad.

Answering a call:

  1. When a call comes in you will hear a ring tone and a notification will appear at the bottom of Connect.

2. Press green Answer button to accept the call.

3. Press orange Reject button to decline the call.Related articles
