How to Delete a User

Deleting a user will delete the extension and deactivate the My Q as well. If you need to re-use the extension previously assigned to the user and that user had a desk phone, you'll need to follow the instructions immediately below. 

Re-Using Extensions (Desk Phone)

You will need to follow the instructions in the exact order they are written in.  

  1. As soon as an extension is no longer in use, disconnect the phone

  2. Delete the user account

  3. When it is time to re-build the extension, build the user account first

  4. Add phone details to extension in Sharpen

  5. Plug in phone

Please ensure you follow these instructions so pruning will not be necessary. 

Deleting Users

In order to delete a user, you will need to add a 1 to the email address and save the user, then go back in and delete them. Otherwise, it will not let you create the user with the same email.
