Linking a Report to a Chart

Linking a Report to a Chart

When building a new chart (or editing an existing chart), there's an option to link a report to the chart for drill-down purposes.

For example, if you're looking at a chart like the one below—a combination report that plots the volume of interactions in the Q (area component) and the average wait time customers are experiencing (bar component)—you might want to see interaction-level details, especially if something about the data seems irregular somehow.

First, either create a new chart or select an existing chart to edit (by opening it and clicking the Settings button). Then, find the report from the drop-down. Once it's selected, hit Save.

On hitting the Save button, the report will re-run itself. Note the Drill Down  button that now appears in the upper-left corner. Clicking it opens the linked report in a new tab.
