Reordering a Report's Fields; Sorting by a Field
Reordering Fields
It will often make sense to reorder a report's fields, in order to better portray the story the data is telling about agents and interactions.
To reorder the fields in a report, use the draggable handle (six dots) next to a field and drag it where you want it.
The image below shows what dragging the Caller ID field from the 5th field to the top of the list would look like.
Applying a Sort Order to a Field
There are two ways to sort an individual field within a report, with different uses/results.
Sort Method 1: Sorting via the Side Configuration Panel
Each field (within the Fields tab) has a double-arrow to the right of the field name (between the calculator icon and the trashcan icon). Click this to sort results by that field, in either ascending or descending order.
If you apply a sort order in this manner (and then Build/Save the report), the field will remain sorted whenever you open/view the report.
Here's how it looks when a field's data is sorted via the side configuration panel:
Above, from left to right: Unsorted, Ascending Sort, Descending Sort
Method 2: Sorting via the Report's Column
You can also sort results by a particular field by clicking the double-arrow icon that appears at the top of the field's column within the data grid itself.
This option sorts results according to a single column, in real time, but does not retain the sort when the report is closed.
