Caller ID Requests

How do I update my Outbound Caller ID Name?
You can update your Outbound Caller ID Name by downloading the attached spreadsheet and following the steps below:

Please only submit requests for local numbers that have already been ported or purchased.

Take note that toll-free CNAME is not supported so they cannot be updated.

  1. Download this LIDB Template CSV (located at the bottom of this document)

  2. Enter the TNs in Column A

  3. Fill out Column L - This is the Caller ID Field

    1. It is limited to 15 characters including spaces

  4. Fill out Column M - will be Business or Residential

  5. Fill out Column N - will be Allowed or Blocked

  6. You will leave all of the other columns blank

  7. Submit the request to support@sharpencx.com with the attached updated LIDB form.

  8. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for the CNAME to update

Please Note:The Caller ID that shows up when you call someone is determined by the receiving carrier’s database. Some carriers may take longer to update depending on their update schedule.
