Using Messaging API to Manage Inbound Replies

Navigate to the Replies page by:

  • Selecting Messaging API from the application switcher

  • Navigate to Replies on the navigation panel to the left

Once you have completed the steps above, you will see a similar page to the one below:

Ensure you have the details required;

  • Destination URL - the endpoint to which we will send replies.

  • Parameter names - these are your custom values for the parameters in the call we make to your URL endpoint;

    • Source number

    • Destination Number

    • Message content

Once you have the information required, you may begin by locating the "Destination URL" option and enter the URL you wish to receive the inbound message. This option should already have a sample URL entered, simply replace the sample URL with your destination URL.

For the next option, you would want to enter your source number. Ensure that it is a valid source number.

After entering in the source number, the next option will ask for your destination number. In here you simply add your destination number.

The last step requires you to enter in the message content.

You can now click the "Test" button and an inbound message should be received to the destination URL entered above
