Why is Sharpen making this change?

We are committed to providing you with the best possible messaging experience. By focusing our support on the updated API endpoint and the OctopusCX Cloud Messaging portal, we can deliver enhanced features, improved reliability, and better overall performance.

What if I continue using the old API endpoint or the Webtext.com messaging portal ?

While we encourage you to migrate to the new platform as soon as possible, the old API endpoint and Webtext.com messaging portal will continue to function in their existing capacity for a limited time. However, they will no longer be actively supported, and we cannot guarantee their functionality or performance. To avoid any disruption to your service, please migrate to the new platform.

What do I need to do to update my API calls?

The structure of API requests to the new endpoint remains the same. You simply need to update the endpoint in your API calls to messaging.sharpencx.com. No other changes to your code are required.

How do I send portal messages and bulk messages with OctopusCX?

OctopusCX provides a robust platform for all your messaging needs, including portal messaging and bulk messaging. You can easily achieve this using the QuickCampaign function. Detailed documentation and guides on how to use QuickCampaign can be found here: Quick Campaign. If you need web portal messaging capabilities, please inquire at support.sharpencx.com by opening a request with us and we will help get you access to the OctopusCX platform.

Will my billing change?

If you are currently a prepaid customer, your billing will transition to a monthly usage-based model. This allows for greater flexibility and scalability based on your actual messaging needs. Our finance team is happy to answer any questions and assist you with this transition. Please contact them at billing@sharpencx.com.

What if I need help with the migration?

We understand that migrating to a new platform can be challenging. Our support team is ready to assist you every step of the way. You can reach us at support.sharpencx.com.

Depending on the migration effort required, a Professional Services fee may apply. Should this be required, our Care team will inform you.
