Labels
Overview
Labels are a flexible way to organize and categorize your reports and charts in Insights. Unlike folders, multiple labels can be applied to a single report, making it easy to tag content by team, owner, topic, or any other system that works for your organization. Labels are also searchable — you can filter the Insights Manager view by label to quickly find what you need.
Labels are fully customizable. Common approaches include:
Team name
Report owner's name or initials
Subject area
Department
Creating a Label
Labels must be created before they can be applied to a report or chart.
Navigate to the Report Manager screen.
Click the [+] button in the left portion of the user interface.
Enter a name for the label and choose a color.
Once created, the label is available to all users in your organization and will appear in the Labels pane on the Insights Manager screen.
Applying Labels to a Report
Labels can be added to any report or chart at any time.
Open the report or chart you want to label.
Click the Settings button.
Click in the Labels field and begin typing the label name to find and apply it.
You can apply multiple labels to the same report by repeating this process. Labels can also be removed from a report at any time through the same Settings menu.
Filtering by Label
Clicking on a label in the Labels pane on the Report Manager screen will filter the report and chart list to show only items that use that label. Labels applied to a report also appear in the Labels column of the Insights Manager list view, making it easy to see how reports are organized at a glance.
Labels created by any user in your organization can be applied to your own reports. Labels are shared across the organization, not private to the user who created them.
