Ordering a New Phone Number

Ordering a New Phone Number

Overview

New phone numbers (DIDs) can be ordered and provisioned directly within the Sharpen platform without needing to contact support. Numbers are ordered through the Inbound Routes page and become available for use in your call flows once the order is complete.

Additional fees may apply when ordering new phone numbers. Contact your Sharpen representative if you have questions about pricing.

Steps to Order a New Number

  1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Inbound Routes and click the New Number button in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select your Country, State, and City.

  3. Choose one of the following ordering methods:

  • Bulk Order

    • Enter the quantity of numbers you need and click Order. Sharpen will provision a grouping of similar numbers based on availability in the selected area.

  • Individual Selection

    • Browse the available numbers presented in two columns. Click a number in the Unselected Numbers column to move it to the Selected Numbers column. Repeat until you have selected all desired numbers, then click Order.

Next Steps

Once your new number has been ordered, it will appear on the Inbound Routes page and can be configured to route to a Queue, Classic Logic flow, Logic+ flow, or other destination. For more information, refer to Configuring an Inbound Route Destination.
