Q Email templates typically serve the purpose of providing a reusable email script for Q interactions, but can also be used to automatically insert a user’s signature.

  1. Navigate to the Q scripts configuration page

  2. Click the “New Template” button at the top right corner

  3. Choose “Email” from the Template Type drop down menu

  4. Name the “Template Name” whatever you would like

  5. Leave Skills blank

  6. Provide the subject line of the email (Don’t worry. replies to emails will retain their email subject)

  7. In the body section, input the %%htmlSignature%% variable as shown below

  8. Be sure to set the “Inactive” slider to off as shown below

  9. Click “Update Template”

At this point you’re all set. The next email you respond to or initiate from the queue associated to the template will result in the automatic use of the logged in user’s signature.

Additional configuration is required to use the email feature. If email has not been set up at the queue level for sending or receiving messages, please refer to the following article for setup instructions.
