Why does my Polycom phone display a "URL Call Disabled" error?
This error message indicates that the phone has lost registration with our servers. The phone will be unable to make or receive calls until it has successfully registered with our servers.

To resolve the "URL Call Disabled" error, try the following:

  1. Reboot the phone - Rebooting the phone forces it to download it's configuration file and perform a fresh registration with the server.

  2. Check the MAC Address - In the Sharpen portal navigate to:

    1. Admin

    2. Configuration

    3. Extensions

    4. Click 'Edit' for the appropriate extension

Verify the MAC Address is correct. The MAC Address (Typically starting with 0004 for Polycom phones) can be found on the back of the phone, or by navigating on the phone to:

    1. Menu/Settings

    2. Status

    3. Network

    4. Ethernet

  3. Re-save the extension - After verifying the MAC Address, scroll down and click Save at the bottom of the Extensions page. This ensures the configuration file is up to date. Reboot the phone once more.
